A 17-year-old boy has now been charged for final week’s lethal stabbing of Kafi Abshir within the metropolis’s west finish.

Toronto Police say Abshir — town’s 67th homicide sufferer of the 12 months — was killed in an altercation that started at 5 Bellevue Cr. simply after 5 a.m. on Friday.

The sufferer was reportedly chased out onto the highway from the Toronto Group Housing, situated close to Weston Rd. and Lawrence Ave. W., and stabbed repeatedly.

Abshir, 30, was rushed to hospital the place he was pronounced lifeless.

A young person, who can’t be recognized beneath the Youth Felony Justice Act, was arrested a short while afterward “an unrelated matter” by York Regional Police Service, Murder Det. Brandon Value stated in a press release launched Wednesday.

He stated the boy was charged Monday with first-degree homicide.
