Operations at Shannon Airport in the Republic of Ireland have been suspended after an “incident” involving a Boeing 763 aircraft.
The airport emergency services are at the scene and all passengers and crew have left the plane.
“We are currently working to remove the aircraft from the scene of the incident so we can resume safe operations on the runway,” it said on its Twitter account.
“This may take some time.”
Passengers have been told to continue checking-in for flights, except for those travelling on American Airlines.
They will not be checked-in “until further notice”.
